Despite many challenges over the last several years, the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. The construction project is 98% complete and full speed ahead with the activation/transition plan. This project includes twelve buildings connected by an integrated four-level concourse, 1.21 million square feet of medical space, one renovated and two new clinic buildings, a new diagnostic and treatment center, two new inpatient buildings housing 148 inpatient beds, a new energy center, a new research building and new parking structures with more than 2,000 parking spaces. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is currently serving as the construction agent for this project via a Fixed Price Incentive contractual agreement awarded on October 30, 2015 to Kiewit Turner.
